"Every step of the Journey
Is the Journey"
The slate tile on the right side is incised with a pineapple design with the words WELCOME above it.
These signs are both thrift store finds. So is this wooden one, recently bought for 25 cents. It is painted with a blue bird and the words,
"Life is a Song
Sing along"
The guest bathroom has a small blue and white transferware ceramic plate from England which asserts,
"Mid Pleasures and Palaces,
Where We may Roam,
Be it ever so Humble,
There’s no Place like Home."
These two signs for ANTIQUES and FLOWERS (two of my passions) were used in my guest room, which is now my mother’s room. So they currently sit on my desk in the study.
The following plaque hangs on the coat closet door in the hallway. For many many years it hung on the wall in the dining room of our family home where we grew up. It reads,
HOME BLESSINGS
The CROWN of the HOME is GODLINESS
The BEAUTY of the HOME is ORDER
The GLORY of the HOME is HOSPITALITY
The BLESSING of the HOME is CONTENTMENT
"As for me and my house
We will serve the LORD."

Hi Carrie,
All your plaques are beautiful. I am partial to the Staffordshire blue/white transferware...!
Thanks for your kind comment on my boullion rose buds on the smocked daygown. I can't wait to get the construction further along... I need to display my miniature teaset. I have had it for years, but never took it out from the box.
Hello from Connecticut - not too far away. I am just discovering your blog. Great plaques and the impatiens below are one of my favorite as well!
I have that plate too - don't you love it! I have that Home Blessing too only mine is written on a floral paper and framed. Loved seeing all your plaques - I'm partial to them and there are so many fun ones you can get now.
