Thankful Thursday - Hearing Amplified

I am most grateful [and still astonished] this week for a major breakthrough with my mother. This past Sunday my brother and his wife and son arrived with a special gift for Mother – a small sound amplifier. It looks like the ear piece that allows hands-free telephone use in the car.
She had threatened not to accept it, and now insisted that it couldn’t be that he had actually gone and bought this thing. However, she heeded our pleas to "just try it on." Agreeing that it wasn’t so bad she kept it on and we tried talking low and asking her to repeat what was said.

For many many years now my brother and sisters have been pleading with my mother to get a hearing aid. Every thing had to be repeated and repeated all the time, but she refused to get a hearing aid. But this week, I have only had to get the ear piece and hook it over her ear. Each evening before she goes to bed I take it and plug in the recharger and leave it overnight. In the morning, I get it, turn it on and place it over her ear.

What a relief it is to be understood the first time I say something…Thank you Lord!

That is fantastic. Where can I get one for my Mom?

She has a hearing aid, but it worked for a bit when she first got it, but now not so much.

Thanks for sharing your thankful heart today!

Blessings!

Oh my... I am embarrassed to say... I am hard of hearing as well. I am almost completely deaf in my left ear but I will not go to the Dr. I keep just hoping it will go away... *giggles*

My family probably just hates being around me. I feel terrible. *blushing*

Thank you for TT... maybe I need to think about getting something to help.

I echo Cheryl's question... Please tell us, what the name of this is? And where it was purchased. Please...

smilnsigh and Cheryl,
The name of the product my brother bought is Stealth S.S.A. Secret Sound Amplifier. A Google search under that name will give your places to buy. If you have other questions, just ask,
