Here are a few more photos which show the planting design in an entrance lobby.
The Lancaster Lobby at the Lancaster Street entrance to the Museum had a wonderful installation by Native Landscaping of Charlton, MA. Native Landscaping spent three days constructing a garden structure which brought the outdoors in, but without all the snow and ice out there. The plantings were composed by Gardens by Lisa of Oakham, MA. The variety of plants were enhanced by water, sculpture, rocks and stones.
We were fascinated to see the trunks of birch trees that were bent to form arches.
The installation included a stream of running water.
The special indoor landscape was adjacent to the cafeteria and provided a lovely terrace setting for additional tables for the diners.
