Tuesdays are getting even more interesting with new weekly events starting today. Over at Coastal Charm Linda is hosting the first Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays.

At A Stroll Thru Life, Marty is doing a wonderful job hosting Table Top Tuesday, which she graciously undertook once Barb at Grits and Glamour no longer could.

My arrangement is set on the top of a maple bookshelf I am using for food storage in the kitchen. I got the maple bookshelf for $10.00 at a local thrift shop.
A ceramic tea house cookie jar was $3.00, as was the tea house teapot.
The Made in England ceramic cottage box was reduced to $1.00 because, when the flea market dealer took it out of the glass case, it fell apart. A piece of the back broke away, but I readily glued it back when I got home.
The tall mug came from a consignment shop. I liked the colorful graphics of tea cups
Inside the mug is a tiny tin house container that cost ten cents.
The little black and white porcelain teapot was in a free box at the flea market. It has an irridescent or lustre glaze. The bottom is marked, “Made in Czecho-Slovakia.”
The white embossed bread and butter and salad plates are “Mikasa “English Countryside,” 10 and 25 cents at the thrift.
A Brief Tea Break
A cup of tea and chocolates with a pretty tea book is a welcome break from daily duties.
The teacup and saucer, small teapot and handled cake plate is Minton “Hardwick.” The pattern is reminiscent of Elizabethan crewel work.
The small tea canister was found in a local antique shop and is for Earl Grey one of my favorite teas. The teapot-shaped tea infuser was found at a flea market in fall 2008, and the tiny silverplate tea spoon is from a tea shop boutique.
The Mrs. Fields chocolates, arrived today in a lovely Valentine gift bag along with more treats.
The book was recently sent to me by my sister from Florida. It is titled Victoria The Essential Tea Companion.
