ABCs of the Word - L

Pam at Grey Like Snuffie hosts ABC’s of the Word to focus on a scripture in which the week’s letter is highlighted.

This week’s theme letter is L

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God
with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your mind.'
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it:
'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
All the Law and the Prophets hang
on these two commandments."

Matthew 22:37-40 NIV

This implies that as members of Christ’s kingdom of heaven, we His followers, live by the principle of the kingdom which is Love.

Yes, love must be first...allow Him to do all else in ourselves and others. Thanks for the good reminder this morning. Hope you have a grand day with Him Carrie!

Hi Carrie,

Reading your post reminded me of the Book Hind's Feet on High Places and the Kingdom of Love where The Chief Shepherd lived.
May we all live in that kingdom :).

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Carrie, your L described in your verse was perfect. A great choice. Love is the one word that makes the world go round.

Bless you Carrie for sharing LOVE for "L".
We all thought of God's LOVE but no one chose it and you chose the one that encompasses Love so completely. As Jehovah Nissi, He is my banner of love. I love the Lord and know that He loved me first but this verse from the NT is connected to the OT and was my first statement to the LORD in my prayer when I asked Him to be LORD of my life! It is the 1st scripture that I personalized & it is my constant prayer! Thank you for blessing me with this beautiful reminder of HIS LOVE!

May His Love surround you this week!

that you for the sweet and tough reminder.
