Blue Monday – "Out of the Blue"

Blue Monday is sponsored by Sally at Smiling Sally.
I’d like to share a very pleasant blue and white pattern called "Out of the Blue" by Churchill. The bottom of each piece indicates that this pattern is "inspired by" British designer Mary Gilliatt.

In the blue and white teacup collection I have two different cup and saucer sets in the Out of the Blue pattern:

The dainty teacup

and the larger breakfast or coffee cup

Here is the 4 -cup teapot along with the covered sugar and creamer

Bread and butter and dessert plates complete the tea service.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this contemporary transferware china pattern. Enjoy more Blue Monday at Sally’s blog, Smiling Sally.

What a great set. I didn't know there was a difference between tea and breakfast/coffee cups. It makes sense.

Carrie, thanks for stopping by "Catherine de th`e Cups" recently and leaving a sweet comment! I adore blue and white...and have lots myself. Your transfer set today is lovely! I was in TN over the weekend visiting my son and we swung by a few antique shops...and oohhhh...you would have loved the blue and white I seen there. Could have brought it all home with me! ;) But, it wasn't on Dave Ramsay's Total Money Makeover plan for me! ;) Chat soon...come back for a visit when you get a chance! ~CC Catherine

What a beautiful tea set. The blue and white pattern is just lovely, and the square design of the teapot and sugar/creamer are very unique. What great treasures. Hugs, Marty
