Tablescape Tuesday – Thanksgiving 2006

Tablescape Tuesday is sponsored by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch.

Today I am sharing a few photos of Thanksgiving at my sisters’s house in 2006. The table was set with warm fall colors.

She loves flowers -- as seen in the framed print, the silk flowers and the drapery swags which she had just completed sewing before Thanksgiving Day. The satin draperies were from JC Penney.

She has large floral arrangements all over her home, each of which she has made herself. This one is in a corner of the dining room.

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my baby sister’s lovely décor.

For more table settings please see the list of participants at Susan’s blog.

Beautiful Thanksgiving table. I had to enlarge the picture, because I wanted to see if those pretty glass were really an orange color, but I see that it is the drink in them. How pretty is that? Her drink matches her china pattern. Thanks for sharing her pretty table and floral arrangements. laurie

Your sister is a very gifted lady. That centerpiece is a masterpiece, as are the other arrangements visible in these pictures. The drapes are magnificent. Can't even imagine what is could come up with this year that would top this.

I enlarged the photos too, to check the dinner plates, (my sister has so many different sets I wasn't sure) -- but these are actually lovely paper plates and matching paper napkins. The glasses are Evesham by Royal Worcester.

The drink! Is that from the Southern Living Magazine and it's a tea with orange icecubes that as they melt, they change the taste of the tea? If it is..then please give me the receipe, I've been looking for it for over 10 years!!! My husband threw out the mag in 1997!!
Gorgeous table by the way! Beautiful home!
