Friday Show and Tell – Another Embroidered Tablecloth

Show and Tell
Show and Tell Friday is hosted by Kelli at There is No Place Like Home.

Last Thursday I posted about a vintage white tablecloth embroidered in blue cross stitch.
Several bloggers indicated that they, like me, love blue and white. So for today’s Show and Tell I’d like to focus on another white tablecloth embroidered in blue. I bought this several years ago at a local antique shop. At 41" x 41" square, it is suitable as a dainty cloth for tea table.

The embroidery is done in blue floss and forms a pleasing pattern within rectangular or square panels. The panels are joined together to form the tablecloth.

Here it is folded in quarters (sorry that it isn't pressed.)

This is the center square panel

  10. I just love blue and white embroidery but it usually seems to be cross stitch. This tea cloth is a real find! Lovely! Do you have a blue and white tea set to match - I am sure you do as you have many lovely things. I am pleased you enjoyed by trip to Paris - I am have also posted the Tuscan photos. And it is good to be home and a-visiting my blog friends! Eleanor
