Wow…I almost forgot about VTT today. But just in time, I thought to share this old container I bought at a local thrift shop. It is black tin with gilt decoration.
It is stencilled with gilt roses on the black ground.
It seems to be a homemade example of toleware
I bought it to go along with this gilt stencilled black wood mirror in the guest bathroom. Nearby is a black wrought iron candelabra that I got eons ago with S&H stamps. Black items help to anchor the décor.
