This is a vintage set made by Royal Sealy of Japan. It has a luster finish and its floral pattern is done in browns and yellows, just right for this time of year.
Here is a mosiac showing some of its features:
The teacup rests on a pedestal stand, and the entire outside is embellished with blooms:
The saucer is also patterned with flowers and the edging is pierced all around:
The inside of the cup is decorated by a single floral motif:
The cup handle is intricately formed and is edged in gold, as are the rims of the cup and saucer.
This cup would grace a fall tea table quite nicely.

Hi: I love your pedestal cup. It is so pretty. Thank you for your sweet remarks about my Granddaughter. I think I am crazy in love with her. Hugs, Martha
That is a very pretty cup and saucer. I don't think I've seen a saucer like that before. Perfect colours for fall.
That is the most gorgeous $2 cup I have ever seen! You are super lucky! The coloring is indeed very fall like. The roses are gorgeous and the cup looks so majestic sitting up pretty like that on it's pedestal.
Thank you so much for sharing your new treasure.
Hugs,
Terri
Ha! Carrie! Royal Sealy - I knew just as I saw it - very like the couple I've recently come into possessing! And, just like me, you're on the prowl for fall colors in teacups, too! You have a lovely vintage piece there - I do like the lustreware finish. The lacey border of the saucer is so sweet - I've a pink one like that.

Joy!

Hi Carrie,
What a pretty teacup, and only two dollars! What a deal you got on it. It is lovely with its luster finish and pedestal. The cut-outs on the saucer are lovely too. A stunning teacup for this time of year or anytime. Thank you for sharing it with us and enjoy your day.
Blessings,
Sandi

I have a question about this cup. I have one in the same floral pattern but the cup is designed differently and the saucer is different as well. On the bottom of the cup it says it was imported for Burdine's and it is manufactured by the same company. If you have any information about this design of print on the cups or about what time were they produced that would be fantastic.
