The linens consist of one Waverly "Country Life" Toile in black on cream runner with black tassel at each end, and four Waverly "Country Life" Toile in black on cream oval placemats with striped fabric on reverse. The napkins are white with a black scroll design.
The black and white theme started with the Royal Stafford checked bowls. They are set on Bordallo Pinheiro "Cabbage"dessert plates, which in turn rest on vintage cream Wedgwood Etruria "Edme" dinner plates. The silverplated flatware is the 1941 vintage Holmes and Edwards "Youth."
To go along with the clean looks of black on white I decided on clear glass accessories. Three pairs of clear crystal candlesticks with green taper candles, and two tulip shaped votives with green votives form the centerpiece with green hydrangeas from a previous table setting.
Next are four Durand "Vendange" goblets and four vintage footed glasses in etched crystal w black/ amethyst base.
A set of four crystal salt cellars and tiny spoons add more sparkle:
A pressed glass butter dish and "Youth" butter knife rest on a doily on a shell-shaped black glass dinner plate.
Four fabric napkin rings in the Waverly "Country Life" toile are supplemented by rectangular silverplated napkin rings.

Black and white seems to work with everything. Your mix with green is a wonderful twist to the traditional Fall colors.

there is no season for black and white and luscious green! I am with you, I can't possibly do orange pumpkins for 3 full months! This is just gorgeous. Those linens are wonderful
Looks fabulous! Love the green highlights!
Beautiful. I would love to sit down to a dinner at your table, thanks for inspiring me.
My kitchen curtain toppers are that Waverly pattern. I love it. I especially like black and white patterns. So I love your table setting and the Waverly runner and place mats.
Black and white is always a winner in my mind. I like it with the green.
Those touches of green look so nice with the black and white. Love the napkins and table runner.
I love the "Country Life" pattern. I have it in garnet red, and it is a favorite...even if I've never used it just yet! :-) I really like it in the black & white. Very nice!
Love the classic black and white!
What a gorgeous table. I love black and white, and the green looks awesome with it. Love your runner.
Thank you so much for visiting me today. You have used one of my most favorite color schemes in your lovely tablescape. I love this particular fabric so much that I have it on two chairs + ottoman, and a window treatment. In my last house, I have an entire room built around black, cream + apple green. This is definitely one I am filing away!
Thanks for visiting my blog...it so fun to meet people this way! Reading your description, I know I will want to return to yours often. I am a junker, thrift store nut and LOVE to go estate sailing! Your table is lovely. I have two dear friends in MA-you live in such a pretty part of the world.

Love the green. I remember my grandma had all green glass plates, cups/saucers, salt shakers, you know we see them now in antique shops. Wish I had them all. Beautiful table setting. Hugs...Lu

I've never seen it done with the clear glass. I think it allows the black and white to really speak. Thanks for sharing!
