Outdoor Wednesday – Garden Ornaments

I had been eyeing a garden statue at my favorite consignment store for quite some time. Yesterday, I stopped by and saw a sign for 20 percent off garden statuary. The owner looked up the reduced price, which was around $39.00, but she discounted it further for me to $29.00!
The figure of an angel looks down on the posy held in one hand.
It has found a home in my new garden bed with its white flowers.

Another decorative garden object I had been wanting was now down to $14.99. It is an urn in an oval shape with up-curved ends.
It seems to be of terra cotta covered with cement. I like the interesting shape and was glad to take it home with me.
Here it holds a pot of Taifun White Bacopa flowers.

Urns and statuary add so much to the charm of the garden. So I am glad to add to the urns and planters I already have in place
Do you decorate your outdoor spaces with things other than flowers and other plants?

Be sure to see more Outdoor Wednesday posts at Susan’s blog, A Southern Daydreamer.

The shape of that urn is special. Garden ornaments are something I would like experiment with in the future. Right now, my favorite garden ornament is the big, old central a/c in the back yard!!! Love my cool house. Sally

I have a couple of pieces that I love. I keep my eyes out for things on sale...

I don't want to do too much but I do like the texture and height that can be gained by using these ornaments.

Hi Carrie,
Wonderful garden ornaments, and you did very well on the prices! I love buying older concrete pieces. They're so much more interesting looking than brand new ones!

Hi Carrie, I have that very same angel statue in my garden, but mine has a broken wing. I love her so much she stays in my garden even with a broken wing. I call her my fallen angel. Aren't we all broken in some way? :)

Love your figurines in your yard.

I just do plants-- with a dog and a child that is all that is all I dare do for now.

I do like to use ornamental "doo-dads" in my garden...or did when I had one. Now I just have a huge patio filled w/ potted plants but there's lots of statues & urns on it. Happy Outdoor Wednesday Carrie!

Neat finds. And yes, I like to add things like statuary, birdhouses, interesting rocks and signs. I think it adds interest. This is a good time of year to pick up garden items and patriotic items at discounts.

Love your garden and all your statuary. Since we live in an apartment in the city, our outdoor space is limited to a single balcony, and I love to put plants and flowers out there, but don't have any statues. (Darn!)

Hi Carrie - Thanks for stopping by. I don't know where he got the twrilling piece. She is out of town for a couple of days, so will try to remember to ask her when she gets back.

Oh how cute is that little angel. Just darling. I really love it. Your urn is also just beautiful. Garden art adds so much to the garden. When fall comes, I am really going to hunt for some pretty urns and spruce up the yard. Right now it is so hot nothing will grow anyway. Also wanted to remind you that a date has been scheduled for the next "Clocher Party" for the fall season. It will be Sept. 11th. Be sure to grab the button on my sidebar to remind you and to let all your friends know. See you there. Hugs, Marty
