Show and Tell Friday is hosted by Kelli at
There is No Place Like HomeToday I would like to share the items I use for holding my everyday dishes in the kitchen. The dinner plates and a serving bowl are right on the other side of the kitchen sink on a three-tiered stand.
The pattern is an all-over floral pattern (or chintz) called "Bermuda Blue" and is by Churchill, made in England. I bought the serving bowl, four cereal bowls and dinner plates back in 1993 when I was attending a conference near London.
This stand came from Marshalls. It is a dark green metal with twining leaves applied along both sides of the curved handle.
At Christmas time it holds holiday dishes.
The everyday cereal bowls and rimmed soup bowls and dessert plates are kept in a vintage dish rack I found at a consignment shop in a nearby town. It is located on the other side of the sink.
It is metal painted in blues, yellow, pink and white on black. The lower section holds one dozen plates vertically.
On the top are four cereal bowls which my mother and I use for breakfast most days.
Nearby on the counter is a mug rack which holds matching mugs. These are used for hot beverages such as hot chocolate or for Roma, a grain beverage from Switzerland.
Having the day-to-day dishes all stored by the sink keeps them always accessible, and makes it easy to replace the dishes after washing and drying them. They also serve as displays to carry out the blue and white color theme.

Carrie,
Your everyday dishes are so lovely. They look like they'd be company dishes! :)
I like your racks how you display them.

What a beautiful dishes and cups ! I had similar once years ago, but probably they broke over the time and I don't have it anymore.
Uh-Oh! I'm a sucker for pretty dishes and yours are gorgeous! I've seen those stands used for buffets at parties and for displays in the department stores. I've always wanted a couple but never have purchased one. This post reminded me how much I need one for the holidays! Blessings!
Oh! What a great idea to buy something you can use at home everyday that reminds you of a trip that took you far away from home. I went to London, but I didn't bring anything home as beautiful as your blue and white dishes. Fun to display them so handy in the kitchen.
Absolutely beautiful....I love how you have them displayed too.
My show n tell is shared....come on over.
Not only practical but cute too! I have so much stuff on my counters as it is but I like the idea of how handy they are! Maybe one day in my fantasy house.... You know the one that magically cleans itself and remains uncluttered! Ha Ha!

What beautiful dishes. I love the blue color. I always love visiting you.
My show & tell is up... vintage bling bling! Do stop by. I love the company.

I love your dishes and the way that you have displayed them. I have a cheap version of your gorgeous English ones. Mine came from Dollar Tree, and don't compare to your lovely ones, but I still treasure. The kids laugh when I say, "Be careful with those plates." "Oh, Mom, they just came from Dollar Tree." "Yes, I know, but they are special to me."

Love, love, love your dishes! My kitchen is cobalt blue and white so they would fit right in!
I love the way you have them displayed. Thanks for sharing!

How neat to be able to enjoy them even when you're not eating!
Super way to display your lovely dishes when not in use!
Carrie, your dishes are so pretty! I love it when ladies post things they use in everyday life. Great post! Kathy@ Mimi's Garden
Beautiful china pattern! So nice that you display it where you can see it daily. I have that same holder with the ivy on it!

My friend has that exact green
stand! We use it when we have
tea's. I'll have to ask if she
got it at Marshalls. Very pretty
english dishes, lovely pattern.
I love the way you have them displayed! I have so many dishes and now I need to find a few creative ways to show them off so thank you for sharing and giving me some inspiration :)

What a pretty array of blue dishes-- and doesn't Marshalls have some great stuff sometimes? I've found a few very handy things there myself.
Love the plate rack. It just seems to make the plates look like organized art.
