Thankful Thursday

Today I would like to give thanks to the Lord for His matchless gift of Jesus Christ Our Lord.

In addition I am grateful for --

The Thankful Thursday idea, which gives the blogger a chance to first, stop and consider one’s blessings, and then to share that grateful thought with others who read the post.

That recently I received a surprise gift that helped to ease my stress about my current finances.

The wonders and joys we experience as we contemplate the natural world. This might be the form of a leafless tree against the sky; or that same tree flocked in fresh snow or encased in brilliant ice.

Satisfaction in the minor aspects of daily routines such as the fresh, shiny, clean results of housework chores.

The joy of telephone calls to loved ones who respond with delight when they recognize your voice.

I recognized myself in your blessing of finding satisfaction in the results of household chores. I cleaned out my bill drawer today and shredded everything. I have such a sense of peace now that the over-stuffed drawer is in perfect shape. Blessings are everywhere when we look.

Now if I can get to feel pleasure in cleaning up!..Wait, I sometimes do. It is probably a matter of stopping and praying before I start. Thank you so much for sharing this! (and I am praying that things will get better for you and yours).
